Our Story: Sustainable Fashion Rooted in Healing & Upcycling

Sarah Tremain is a sustainable fashion studio rooted in healing, artistry, and transformation. Featuring clothing adorned with prints of founder Sarah Culbertson’s mother, Tremain Smith's, artwork, and is dedicated to supporting healing services for survivors of sexual trauma. Rooted in intergenerational trauma and healing, Sarah Tremain reimagines pain into purpose. Each design uses Tremain Smith’s encaustic paintings as its foundation, transforming them into prints that become functional, beautiful garments. These creations honor the legacy of their shared relationship, blending artistry with resilience to inspire connection and individuality.

Distinctive, comfortable, fun to wear. Our family got two pair of these shoes in the Lotus pattern with black and white non-canvas parts and they look quite different. We cannot agree which looks cooler! (Would love to see the men's shoes come in even larger sizes!)

I LOVE these pants! The wide waist band & pockets are key, they are soft and delightfully slouchy, the pattern is wild and fun to wear & they wash beautifully with no shrinkage. Sizes run small, so order up a size or 2 depending on how slouchy you like your clothes.
